Everything we agreed, done and checked
Here is every item from the one-time technical SEO audit + cleanup I promised, what I actually changed, and what it means for you.
The results, in one look
Measured with Google PageSpeed Insights on both mobile and desktop, before we started and after the fixes went live. Scores come from the linked after-report; mobile load times are the typical result across 6 tests, because single mobile tests jump around.
pages & blog posts now show their own title in Google
private or thin pages now hidden from Google
new redirects: messy URLs cleaned up and broken links fixed
Why isn't the score 90+? Every Squarespace site loads the same core code, and it caps the score no matter who builds the site. The part we can control is how fast your content appears, and that's where the big gains happened: 21s → 6.5s on mobile and 4.5s → 1.8s on desktop. Google also scores slightly differently on every test, so expect a few points of wiggle. A redesign is the way to push these scores higher, because the new site would be built lighter from the ground up (see pages 9–10).
Before & after, mobile and desktop
Screenshots straight from Google PageSpeed Insights. The before test was run at 11:34 AM and the after test at 4:31 PM on Sep 30, 2026. Each report covers both mobile and desktop.

Google can finally tell your pages apart
🏷️ Every page had the same Google title
✓ FIXEDA site-wide setting was missing the page name, so all ~50 pages and ~55 blog posts showed up in Google with one identical title. This was the #1 thing holding your search results back.
Also rewritten: Personal Branding · Headshots · Talent Headshots · Corporate Events · Realtors · Headshot Packages · What to Wear · Wardrobe Guide · Blog. Descriptions that were too long or had broken characters (like &) were cleaned up too.
🙈 Private pages hidden from Google
✓ FIXEDThese were showing up in search, and some of them had client names on them. They still work for anyone with the link, but Google is now told not to list them.
Cleaner links, faster photos, smarter data
🔀 Messy URLs cleaned up
✓ FIXEDOld links automatically forward to the new ones (a "301 redirect"), so nothing breaks and Google moves the ranking over.
The "What to Wear" blog post had no title at all. It now has a proper title, summary and URL.
⚡ Speed fixes
✓ DONE- Fade-in animations turned off. 112 elements were fading in one by one, which held back your main photo by about 3.5 seconds.
- Homepage hero photo preloaded. The browser now fetches it first, in the right size for each screen.
- Main fonts preloaded and the image server "warmed up" early, so headings and photos show sooner on every page.
- Checked every script on the site. The only third-party ones are Google Ads/Analytics and the reviews widget.
tip: animations can be switched back on anytime ♡
🧠 Business info for Google
✓ ADDEDSquarespace's built-in business data had an empty name and no phone number. We added a complete "business card" (schema) that search engines and AI assistants read:
name: Liza Sue Productions
phone: +1 440-665-9852
based in: Richfield, OH
serves: Cleveland · Akron · NE Ohio
social: Facebook · Instagram · Pinterest
A few things need a quick yes from you
These weren't skipped. They need your access or your OK first, because they change how something looks or works.
Squarespace access came through, but Search Console didn't. Please add kalana.heshanwa@gmail.com as a Full user so I can submit the new sitemap, request re-indexing of your key pages and check for errors.
Google expects one main heading (H1) per page. The homepage has 5 and Personal Branding has 20. Changing them to H2 changes the text size, so I'd like your OK on the look first.
46 of 112 images have no description. Alt text helps Google Images, accessibility and AI search find your work.
The same tracking code runs two times, which can double-count visitors. One copy should be removed; I'd confirm with you which setup to keep.
An older, unlinked headshot page competes with your main one in Google. We can merge it or redirect it.
It's hidden from Google now. If you no longer use it, it can be switched off completely.
What happens next on its own: Google usually picks up new titles within 1–4 weeks. Squarespace refreshes your sitemap within about a day. Google's "real user" speed report needs more visitor data before it shows anything, so for now the PageSpeed test is the number to watch.
Your photos are stunning.
Your website could sell them even harder.
The behind-the-scenes work is done. While I was in there, I noticed a few layout things that may be quietly costing you inquiries:
7 sections and 45+ photos, with a portfolio carousel doing a lot of the work.
Brands, teams, realtors and architects all land on the same page and have to find their own way.
"Book Consultation" breaks onto two lines inside its button.
A redesign built to turn visitors into bookings
Same brand you love (the blush, the bold serif, your photos front and center), reorganised around how clients actually decide to hire a photographer.
A homepage that sells in 5 seconds
A clear promise, your best image, and a "Book a call" button right at the top.
Clear paths for each client
Brands · Teams & Headshots · Architecture · Events. Each visitor clicks their lane and sees work made for them.
Simpler menu, mobile-first
5 menu links plus a Book button. Built phones-first and lightweight, so your speed score goes up too.
Portfolio that feels like a magazine
Curated galleries per service, instead of one long carousel.
Trust built in
Brand logos, real reviews and a "how it works" process placed right where people hesitate.
Smarter inquiry flow
A short form that asks the right questions, so you get better-qualified leads and fewer back-and-forth emails.
🛡️ A safe way to redesign: your live site is never touched
ZERO RISKI build the new design on a private duplicate of your site. Your current website keeps working and taking bookings the whole time. Nothing changes until you say you love it.
and all of today's SEO work carries over 💗
Every change has a reason and a payoff
Here's exactly what the redesign fixes, what you'd receive, and what it means for your business.
Results depend on traffic and market, and no one can honestly guarantee rankings. But every item above removes a real obstacle between a visitor and a booking.
